What happened during the recent legislative session that will change SEHIP?

SEHIP will move forward as the Health Insurance Partnership (HIP). Health insurance options for small employers and their employees appear in two different health care reform bills. Both amend RCW 70.47A in similar ways:

  • SB 5930 - 2007-08 - Providing high quality, affordable health care to Washingtonians based on the recommendations of the blue ribbon commission on health care costs and access.
  • HB 1569 - 2007-08 - Reforming the health care system in Washington State.
